CAN WE DO DGO AFTER BHMS ? IS IT AVAILABLE IN NASHIK OR PUNE ?? PLZZ TELL ME THE NAME OF COLLEGE

Hello aspirant

Sorry you won't be able to pursue Diploma in gynaecology and obstetrics. It is a post graduate course. Diploma in gynaecology and obstetrics is allowed to those students who have done mbbs as bhms or bams candidate's are not allowed to do surgery.

Eligibility for pursuing DGO - The candidate must be a graduate with MBBS degree from medical college that is recognized by medical council of India. Getting 50% marks in graduation is mandatory.  Along with this criteria , candidate must  appear for Neet pg entrance exam.

In India there are many colleges offering diploma in gynaecology and obstetrics.  Few of them are mentioned below.

I have completed my bhms degree and now I want to pursue masters in Psychology(wanting to be a counseling psychologist). So, how to proceed further? is there any chance to do distance course in Universities available in kolkata? please reply. Thank you.

Yes you can pursue master of arts ( psychology) through distance education .

Many Institutes in India provide distance education.  IGNOU , New Delhi  offers this course.

IGNOU is government recognized Institute. Indira Gandhi National Open university has started application form filling process.
The last date to apply for MAPC program is 31st january 2024.
Application fees is INR 300

Tution fees is 9,600 per year.

IGNOU allow students to study along with their work .

Assignments are also given .



Eligibility for the course- Thd candidate must be a graduate with minimum 50% marks in any stream .

I got 79% in mht cet can i get bhms addmission

No you won't get bhms seat on the basis of mht cet. MHT CET is common entrance test held in maharashtra for admission to pharmacy , diploma in engineering and bachelor's degree in engineering.

You have to appear for Neet to get bhms seat.


BHMS is bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and surgery .

Duration- 5.5 years

Average fees - 20,000 tp 3,00,000


Average salary - INR 2,00,000 to 10 lakh

Eligibility for bhms - The candudate must have passed class xii with physics,  chemistry and biology as main subjects with minimum 50% marks.

The candidate must appear for Neet. After qualifying neet , the candidate can get seat for bhms course.

process to become gynaecologist after bhms course and perform surgeries

Hello aspirant

A BHMS doctor can perform surgeries in emergency conditions only. BHMS is bachelor's course which deals with treatment with homeopathy medicines but in cases where surgery is inevitable then these doctors are allowed for small surgeries.

If you wang to become gynaecologist and perform surgeries then you will have to obtain master's degree in surgery to become a surgeon . Even mbbs doctors are not allowed to perform surgeries,  they can perform surgeries only after getting master's degree.

For pg courses after BHMS you need to appear for Neet pg .

After qualifying the neet pg you can do master's course.
