Hello Harish,

To obtain admission in MBBS colleges the applicant needs to obtain the NEET qualifying percentile or NEET qualifying score. The NEET qualifying score is the minimum percentile that if needed to be achieved in order to gain admission to any medical college by passing the examination. For this each category has their own percentile.

1- unreserved category : 50% that is 701-134 scores

2- physically handicapped : 45% that is 133-120 scores

3- scheduled caste : 40% that is 133-107 scores

4- scheduled tribe : 40% that is 133-107 scores

5- other backward classes : 40% that is 133-107 scores

6- scheduled caste - physically handicapped : 40% that is 133-107 scores

7- scheduled tribe - physically handicapped : 40% that is 133-107 scores

8- other backward classes - physically handicapped : 40% that is 133-107 scores

In case of government medical colleges you need to achieve a certain cutoff that these government colleges state which is different from one college to another. The colleges state these cutoffs after the result is declared and the cutoffs vary on basis of certain factors

1- number of sanctioned seats

2- all over performance of the applicants in the NEET examination

3- the number of applicants to the college

4- the category to which the applicant belongs to

5- and of course the previous years cutoff marks.

According to these the colleges decide on their cutoffs and to know these you might want to get in touch with the specific colleges and their authorities and enquire the same. You can use the following link to get information about the states and their government college cutoffs -

Or you can predict you college by-

I hope this helps.

Cuutoff of college for bhms and bams

yadvi Student Expert 6th Jun, 2019

Hiii  Mansi

Since you didn't mention your category I'm assuming it to be general.

For BAMS you need to score 420+  to secure the seat in good Government colleges and

For BHMS you need to score 300- 350+  to secure the seat in good government colleges.

Hope I answer your question.

GOOD LUCK!

How much should be our expected score for admsn in bhms course through neet for 2019...plz tell me the range from 720

Yogita Punjabi 27th Apr, 2019
Hello

The cutoff marks changes every year depending upon many factors and so there is no fixed score for admission. To get admission in a government college for BHMS course, a minimum score of 400+ is required if you belong to general category. Whereas for SC/ST a minimum of 350-380+ marks.
Only qualifying NEET exam can't get you guaranteed admission anywhere.
Try to keep high target and score maximum possible to increase your chances of admission in a good college.

Good Luck.!

sir i got 190 marks in neet 2019 am i able to get admission in bams or bhms college ? i am in general category .

Gavanksha Student Expert 5th Jun, 2019

Hello aspirant,

To be very honest, it is difficult to get a seat with your marks calculated. Since the marks are very less and availing a seat depends on category and 85% state quota seat. With general category, chances are very tough. For BAMS and BHMS cutoff for last year was 300+ and this year cutoff seems to increase. But none the less do apply for counselling.Just hope for the best.

Best of luck!!

Sir my neet 2019 marks are 393 (OBC - BC2) can I get any govt. College out of BDS/BHMS/BAMS colleges or any other? Please guide. Thankyou

Supriya Omi 5th Jun, 2019

Hi,

With 393 there is definitely a chance for Government BAMS and BHMS. About Bds I can't say anything with much authority after today's results declaration. The marks have gone  high. You already know that this is less for MBBS. So, if you want to take bams and bhms go for the counseling which will begin later, i guess. Seeing the rank range it is tough to say anything with 100% authority. Hope for the best.

Good Luck!

Sir, I got 132 marks in NEET can I expect any seat in BHMS or BAMS .I belong to SC category and I am from Andhra Pradesh

rajaman9300 Student Expert 5th Jun, 2019

Hello Aruna

Hello Kinnari

As per the previous year(2018) eligibility norms, you have very less chances to get admission in a BHMS college with 132 marks in the NEET.

But as you mentioned that you belong to Sc or St category then you may have chance.but not sure.

So, Keep your finger crossed..
