The eligibility criteria for different courses of BHU vary with the courses. For example, the candidates willing to get admission in B.A. (Hons.) Arts must have qualified class 10+2 or its equivalent exam with at least 50% aggregate marks.
BHU offers diploma programme of different duration in various specialisations such as Office Management & Business Communications (Part-Time), Diploma Course in Tourism Management (Part-Time), Diploma Course in Dental Hygienist (Full Time), and so on.
BHU is not part of IIT. With the formation of IIT BHU, it became an autonomous body independent of Banaras Hindu University. Earlier, it was known as Banaras Engineering University and got its new name after turning into IIT.
BHU has some significant collaborations with overseas universities. The list of such international universities includes the Technical University of Munich (Germany), the University of Sydney, the University of Mainz (Germany), etc.
