As you are a student of microbiology definitely you can give GATE exam for Biotechnology . Biotechnology is very broad area in which microbiology is its part. In order to be eligible for drug inspector job, you need to pass graduation in pharmacy or pharmaceutical science or clinical pharmocology or microbiology or medicine or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. Moreover, you need to be between 21 to 30 years of age.
