Dear candidate,

Yes, you would be eligible to sit for and attempt NEET as NTA now considers NIOS students as eligible. However, you must also fulfill the other eligibility criteria as given below:

  • Candidates must have completed 17 years as on December 31, 2021.
  • The class 12 percentage required for NEET 2021 exam is separate for each category and the NEET eligibility marks in class 12 to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects. It is 50% for unreserved category, 40% for OBC/SC/ST category and 45% for PWD category candidates.

If I am pcmb student and I am average in biology as well as in maths and I have given both exam that is CET for engineering and neet for medical but I got less marks in neet such that I will get BHMS college then which course should I choose CS or IT engineering or BHMS according to future scope?

Harshvardhan 23rd Nov, 2021
Engineering in Computer Science or Information Technology have advantages over BHMS.

If you had done your Engineering from a prestigious institute, you will get enough opportunities to get placed in a good company.

You have options to go abroad for further studies or jobs. You can take admission in MBA courses. Engineers have much more options then a BHMS doctor.

While, after completing BHMS, you can work as a homeopathic physician or one can go for a specialisation course.

Keep factors like college reputation, course duration, your interest, FEEs etc. in mind while taking decision.

Thanks!

Hello sir/mam,i have got 38 in phy, 49 in chem ,52 in biology i.e 139 marks in total (PCB) and aggregate % of PCB is 46%, i belong to SC category so am i eligible for NEET?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 13th Oct, 2021

Hi

With 38 marks in physics,

Have you passed in your both practical and theory examination of Physics?

I am guessing that have a passed in both theory and practical, if not do let us know in the comments section

Yes, you are eligible for neet examination.

This is because,

To be eligible for neet, you need to pass  12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got:-

  • at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category

  • at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

Now,

You belong to sc category and

Your aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  is

=   38   +     49    +    52

=   139 marks

=( 139 /  300  x  100 )%

=   46.33 % i. e more than 40% so you are definitely eligible  for neet   examination  .

Also,

-----------)  Age limit :-

  • Lower age limit:- to be eligible for neet  one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination .

  • Upper age limit :-The upper age limit  is 25 years as on the date of neet examination and there's relaxation of 5 years for obc ncl/SC/ST /PwBD students means upper age limit is 30 years for these categories.

†††† But since 2018, the case of upper age limit is pending in supreme court , and so there's no upper age limit as of now until supreme court gives its judgement over it.

-----------) There's no attempt limit for neet.

kya biology ke students nda se airforce join kar skte h

Anuj Kumar 10th Oct, 2021

Hi,

As per the Eligibility criteria of NDA-NA Exam, to get into Air Force and Navy, student should have Passed XII from recognised Board with Physics and Maths. So, if you belong to Biology section and don't have Mathematics as an additional subject then you are not eligible to join Air Force or Navy through NDA-NA Exam. However you can still Join Indian Army.

I hope this will answer your query.

Thanks!!!
