what 40% aggregate in pcb means for obc category?? I scored physics theory- 23 practicles-28 chemistry T-23 P-28 biology T-34 P-28 Is i am eligible for neet ?? I am passed in all subjects and English is my core subject! I belong to obc category. Does different medical colleges has diff criterias?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 30th Jul, 2020

NEET is the entrance examination for admission to MBBS,BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. And all colleges follow the same NEET rules. And to be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th. You scored 54% in these 3 subjects and so you are eligible for NEET. Goood luck:)

Hello Madam,

No, if she hasn't registered for PCMB stream in first year intermediate she cannot appear in improvement exam in Biology in class 11. Registered candidates who have appeared in Biology regular exam in class 11 are eligible to appear in improvement exam. rehan18alam Student Expert 19th Jun, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

The eligibilty for the NEET exam is 50% marks in the Physics, Chemistry and biology. Your marks are 47+50+53 = 150/300 * 100 = 50%. So yes you are eligible for the NEET exam.
