Hi i have chosen English as language and two domain subjects biology and psychology. am I eligible for the universities of Delhi? if yes which ones?

SEJAL JAIN 11th May, 2025

Yes, you are eligible to apply to Delhi University (DU) through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for the academic year 2025, provided you meet the specific subject combinations required for your desired course.

Language Requirement: You must appear for one language paper from List A in CUET. Since you have chosen English as your language, you meet this requirement. (https://cuet.nta.nic.in/university-of-delhi/?utm_source=chatgpt.com)

Domain-Specific Subjects: You need to select three domain-specific subjects from List B. Given that you've studied Biology and Psychology in Class 12, you can choose these two subjects. For the third subject, you have the option to select another subject from List B or opt for the General Test (Section III)

Hello,

If you want to study marine biology after completing your 12th , here are a few government colleges you can consider in India:

  1. Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI), Kochi – Offers research and training programmes related to marine biology and fisheries.

  2. Goa University – Offers courses in marine science, including marine biology.

  3. University of Mumbai – Offers a degree in marine biology at the Department of Life Sciences.

  4. Andhra University, Visakhapatnam – Known for its Marine Biology and Fisheries Science programmes.

  5. Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean Studies (KUFOS), Kochi – Specialises in marine biology and related fields.

You can check the eligibility and admission details on the respective college websites. Make sure you meet the required criteria for the course.

I PASSED IN 12 PREVIOUS YEAR I passed in my compulsory subjects physics chemistry maths but failed in my optional subject biology my wbjee counseling for btech is nearby Do I have to face any problem in counseling in wbjee for my optional subject bio fail

Sujal Singh 9th May, 2025

Since you have passed the compulsory subjects (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics), your failure in Biology should not affect your eligibility for WBJEE counseling for B.Tech, as Biology is typically not required for the engineering stream. Ensure that all your documents are accurate and complete.

I scored 53% in hs in best of 5 English A - 44, English alternative - 70 , phy- 51, chem 52, biology - 52 , and optional math - 44. is it possible for me do b-tech in CSE or ECE or biotech in kolkata through direct admission??

Devanshi Goyal 3rd Jul, 2025

HELLO,

Its is unlikely that you can get admission into top B.TECH Programs in CSE , ECE or Biotech in Kolkata  with a 53% score in 12th boards especially if you want popular courses like CSE .

Direct admissions in Kolkata:-

1. Some Private engineering colleges in Kolkata may offer you direct admission to Btech Programs based on your 12th grade marks potentially through a management quota.

2. While direct admission may be possible these colleges might have their own score requirement for specific branches like CSE which could be 80% or higher

3. You can try management quota seats which are typically offered based on merit and availability and may require a higher percentage than the general admission criteria

4. If you go with direct admission you might have to pay higher fees compared to those admitted to entrance exams

Hope that helps!

agar pcm mein grouping nhi ho rhi ho toh chemistry ki jagah biology ke marks consider kr sakte hai kya

Tanisha chaudhary 12th Jun, 2025

HEY THERE!!!

  1. Generally speaking, if you’re missing Chemistry in your PCM group, you can’t simply use your Biology marks as a substitute—educational boards and entrance exams typically require specific scores in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
  2. They’re quite strict about this; Biology is relevant for PCB, not PCM.
  3. If you’re aiming for courses that require PCM, you’ll need the actual Chemistry marks, no swaps allowed.
  4. Of course, there might be some odd exception buried in a particular board’s rulebook, but that’s rare.
  5. It’s always wise to double-check the official eligibility criteria, but in most cases, substituting Biology for Chemistry isn’t permitted.
