Both books are good but are not enough. Try to solve one book completely rather than searching for new books. switch only when you have completed on book or else you will not be able to complete the syllabus.

Yes doing hcv will put you in much better position as bitsat is highly competitive and only the relatively tough questions might determine the ranks.

So solving it will be helpful although bitsat guides are a must .

Yes, you should stay till 4th iteration. But keep your other option as a backup. Cutoffs usually drop in 3rd iteration and in the last iteration. Just wait for JOSAA counseling to start. If you don't get any branch, your fees would be returned without any deduction.
