BITS Pilani, Pilani campus VS IIT Tirupati (civil engineering in both)

Abhishek Roy 9th Nov, 2020

I believe Civil at BITS Pilani would be a better option, perhaps if you have no monetary or vicinity issues. Core placements in Civil Engineering are bleak however, many Core recruiters like Tata Projects, JK, Asian Paints, L&T, GMR Infrastructure do visit BITS Pilani. Besides this you have a whole lot of Consultancy, Non Core, Finance, IT, Software opportunities in BITS Pilani at par with Top IITs of the Country. Besides this BITS Pilani also has excellent infrastructure, faculty and research facilities as well as an exciting campus life and peer environment.

hey ! i suck in bits boards criteria ! should i prepare for bits exam ? does their any chances for change in this criteria ?

roopalsengar04 9th Nov, 2020

Dear student,

The criteria for Bits is-

  • Candidate should have obtained a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects.
  • Candidates should have passed 10+2 exam from a recognized central or state board or its equivalent.
  • Candidate should have minimum 60% each in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.

As per your query it is a waste of your time and efforts to prepare for the bits exam if you don not meet the basic criteria to sit in the exam. There is no change  in this criteria.

Hope it Helps!

i have got cse in bits Hyderabad and electrical in NIT allhabad what should I choose?

shravyamdsce 8th Nov, 2020

Hi Aspirant,

There are two perspectives to it. The first is the branch and the second is college. NIT Allahabad is a much better college than BITS Hyderabad. There is almost no comparison between them. And second is a branch, which is your passion.

If your passion is to pursue engineering in CSE, then try for some other NITs. I hope you will get some new NITs. In case you don't get any NITs, then you can go with BITS Hyderabad.

But, if the branch is not a restriction for you, I will suggest you go for Electrical in NIT Allahabad as it is one of the country's finest engineering colleges, and placement is also excellent. In contrast, Electrical is a core branch of engineering and has no fewer opportunities than CSE.

Hope this helps you.

All the best.

Sir, IIT Tirupati, mechanical engineering, BITS Hyderabad M. school. maths-I got both these. Which is to choose. ? please guide me

apeksha150598 7th Nov, 2020
Hello aspirant,

If you look at the choice of college, both IIT and BITS are excellent in their own way. Both have very good placement packages. One difference is that IITs are government funded and their fees is lesser as compared to BITS. Now if you look at choice of branch, I would suggest go for mechanical engineering. This branch is an evergreen branch. It has opportunities in both private as well as government sector. Mechanical engineering from IIT will get you amazing placement in good core companies with great package.
So Mechanical engineering from IIT  Tirupati would be a great choice according to me.

All the best!

how is dual 5 year course at BITS VS CSE VIT ?

ayanmukherjee045 7th Nov, 2020

Dear aspirant,

According to your question and taking into consideration that you want to know the comparison between bits and cse vit.

I would say if you are getting the Pilani campus then undoubtedly you should go with BITS Pilani dual course ,as it has very strong placements compared to vit cse.

But if not getting at Pilani then you can make a choice with vit cse but still goa campus is also good .

When will the forms of colleges like SRM, VIT, BITS be out for a 2021 pass-out?

S. Saha Student Expert 5th Nov, 2020
Due to the global pandemic, most of the events of 2020 have been delayed. So in that way there might be a delay in releasing the applications of SRMJEE, VITEEE and BITSAT 2021. But it is expected that SRM Institute of Technology may release the application in the month of November 2020. BITSAT 2021 applications will be made available from Second Week of January 2021. And VITEEE 2021 applications were expected to release in the last week of October 2020. However this wan't released so there might be a delay in releasing the application. I have a backlog in bpharmacy can I eligible to get admission at bits pilani for mpharmacy by gate score

Karam Vir 5th Nov, 2020

Hi,

To get admission into any institute even via an entrance examination , you need to clear your backlogs first. You cannot get into BITS Pilani even by a good score  in the entrance examination, you need to satisfy the eligibility criteria which mentions to have pass in all the subjects undertaken. So, clear your backlog first and then, you can get into your desired course.
