Gate score 388 and 36.35 marks . Civil engineer, genreal category. 78% in graduation. can i get admission in bits or any of the iits or other than my specification that i can apply.

Aniket Sharma 8th Apr, 2020

hi asif,

If you are a general/obc candidate then there is no chance of getting into IITs. If you have SC/ST quota then you may expect a newer IITs. To get into BITS post- graduation programme, you can get it with the help of your BITS HD score. BITS HD is conducted by BITS for post graduation. For gate qualified candidates fees is 1000rs and for all other candidates fees if 3300rs. They BITS HD registration is still open till 27th april 2020. BITS HD will be conducted on 16th may and 23rd may. It is an online exam.

I hope this answer will help.

can i apply for mtech in bits HD if my btech cgpa is 6.45 upto fifth sem and definitely complete my btech with 6.5 CGPA ... should i able to apply for BITS HD ENTRACE EXAM ????

Sharon Rose Student Expert 8th Apr, 2020

Hello,

The eligibility criteria for BITS HD is that a candidate must have passed B.E/B.tech with atleast 60% aggregate from a recognized board. Now, you CGPA has to converted into percentage by the formula prescribed your university or college. If there isn't any CGPA to percentage conversion formula you need to multiply your CGPA with 10.You can apply for BITS HD but if you are not eligible at any later stage your candidature will be cancelled.

Don't worry if your CGPA is low. To be eligible for BITS HD or to get admission in  BITS for post graduation you need minimum of 60% marks in B.TECH. or 6.3 CGPA.

But I will suggest you to get your cgpa till 6.5 till the end of 8th sem. Its an online exam. Application form fee is GATE qualified candidates Rs 1000 for gate qualified candidates and Rs 3300 for all other candidates.

pl suggest the top 10 colleges for doing B.Sc Hons Chemistry . I Have done 12th with PCB combination and residing in Pune at present. Does BITS (any campus specially Pilani ) offer this for PCB Students. If not then pl suggest the best colleges, its admission procedure and cut offs.

Animesh Vats Student Expert 4th Apr, 2020

Hi,

Well if you want then you can go for delhi university where the cut off percentage range between 87% to 95% for chemistry honors. You can also go for BHU where UET entrance exam is organised to take admission of students for all the undergraduate degree courses. You can also opt for AMU also where written test is organised and same goes for Hyderabad and allahabad university too.

I hope my answer helps.

All the best.
