How I get admission in BITS Pilani, after completing my B.Sc (ZCB) Med. ?

Rishabh_1890 Student Expert 28th Jul, 2019

AROUND MID OF JULY

In the UK, candidates apply for (most) university courses through the UCAS system. Once this has been submitted, universities for nursing degrees will be in touch to invite candidates to an interview. This can take place as a one-on-one session with a single or several interviewers, could be a group interview with other candidates or could be the multiple mini interview (MMI) which has been used by medical schools for many years and is becoming more popular for prospective nurses.

Aside from the interview process, most nursing schools will test maths and English if candidates do not have GCSEs above a C grade or functional skills qualifications in these subjects.

When the BTech bech start in bits Pilani 1 year?

Lalit Solanki Student Expert 27th Jul, 2019

The academic year for all BITSians starts on the 1st of August. As the first yearites are new to the campus, they are called 2–3 days before the registration day( registration day is the day. where you make your time table of the courses). This is done just to get them used to the workings of the campus and are given an overview of the courses and the teaching methods. The academics start at the same time for all the year-ites..
But first years have to come 4-5 days early to get admission, orientation and stuff.. For first years, it's in the last week of july. The academics usually start by 1st-3rd August or something.. Do check up with BITS, Pilani on the exact dates for all the procedures this year..For the admissions, the orientations and stuff..

In news, I read that top 4 NIT have seats vacant. With a rank of 60962 in JEE Main, will I get a seat in these top NIT from CSAB counseling?

NAVNEET PANDEY 27th Jul, 2019

Hello adnan,

To get top NITs you need to get a rank under 15000,if you are from general category.so its difficult for you to get admission in top 4 NITs,especially in streams like computer science, IT,ece, but may be you can get streams like metallurgical or chemical engineering.

So if you are interested in these fields, you can try.

And also there are many state level colleges who accept the students with low JEE ranks, you can search for them too.

Is Jadhavpur is Better that BITS Pilani?

Aman Kumar 23rd Jul, 2019
Dear Aspirant,

As being an engineering aspirant, i have observed when a student comapare two colleges, following criteria plays a major deciding role in weighing up or down one.

  • Placement Scenario
  • Ranking
  • Campus life and infrastructure
  • Academic atmoshphere
  • Space for co curricular and extra curricular activities.
  • Fee structure (in many cases)

So, we will compare Jadavpur university and BITS Pilani on above parameters, one by one. As i am not from BITS Pilani, so i cant say much about it, instead i will provide link in answer from where you can extract the info.

  • Placement Scenario:- The placement scenario is very green here in JU instead of slowdown in several industry and international market. As you know recent days placement is Engineering colleges is not that good. But still our Jadavpur Manages to survive the recession to give its student a handsome placement package. Our placement happens all round the years, Unlike IITs where placement happens for two weeks or so.The core branches like CSE, IT, MECH, ETCE, CHEMICAL, INSTRU, METAL etc got job offers upto 3o lakh/ annum. All the major recruiters from the industry comes to get us as they know who we are. Our alumni are well placed in industry at every level whic itself act as a catalyst for lobbying in a company. Even the non-core branches like PRINTING, FOOD, PHARMA got placed with decent package i.e. 5 lakh/anuum. For those who couldnt get any core jobs, come the big analyst companies which now a days are offering 35% of total jobs for engg graduate and then the mass recruiters for the left student. Overall if you are intersted in getting a job, you will get placed.

  • BITS Pilani, Media Ranking:- You will find, instead of being on disadvantageous side due to status of state university, JU is giving tough fight to the top IITs, NITs and Private college and beating most of them by high margin.

  • Campus Life & Infrastructure:-The most interesting and fascinateating part of you college life at JU will be its campus life. Private colleges like BITS Pilani will treat you either like a raw material to be processed or a customer who can pay for provided services. But in JU you will feel like home. You will be amazed to see the poeple acceptance towards others, their openness, their helping behaviour.

  • In terms of infrastructure, Yes JU lags behind the BITS pilani. But, cmon guys, its not some machine that makes us engineer, we make ourselves by hard work and prservance. Yes, we have all the basic facilities for the UG course of engg but in terms of strength and size it still lag behind. One of the main reason is lack of fund. As being an state university it receive a low annual funding but still it is giving a run to top central and private universities.

  • Academic Atmoshphere:-Academic atmosphere of JU is very conducive and inviting. This is place from where several imminent personalities have emerged and helped in building a better society. Teachers are ever accomodative, students are ever helpful. You just need to ignite the fire of curiosity within you, the you will find it to be an ocean of Knowledge.

  • Space for co-curricular & extra curricular activities JU finds its roots back to the swadeshi movement of 1905. This university was established by the sheer efforts of Hrishi Aurobindo with the aim to cultivating the healthy humane habits, the mental appetite, the learning curiosity and building an overall informed and induced persona. This very spirit have led to formation of several art, culture, music, mountaineering, skill, academic clubs and societies has been established spanning the whole human activities. This not only helps in crediting you with some extra skill but also gives an opportunity to explore yourself and look what is grounded within you. These clubs and societies remain functional throughout the year even in vacations. You never know until you try should be your motto if you want to explore the horizons.

  • Fee Structure:- Here comes the most astounding and astonishing part. You will graduate from this college at the overall cost of 10k only. Thats around Rs 200 a month, which is at least one third of fee of Nursery standard of a decent Private school. Can you imagine it? Whereas to graduate from BITS Pilani, you dont have to spent money, you are supposed to ooze out the money from your pocket. You a least have to spend 10k/ month if are planning to gradate from BITS Pilani. Hostel fee here at JU is Rs25/ month as rental and Rs 1500 for food apart from fee. Where in India will you get this good education at such low cost.

I would say, if you leave BITS Pilani for JU, it will be a better deal.

Hope I have made myself clear.
Best Of Luck!
