I got 94405 rank in kcet , can iget UG admission in ur collage

Sumedha Bhattacharya 22nd Sep, 2021

Dear Student ,

With your given rank and assuming open category , you have less chances to get your preferred college(BMS college of  engineering) with any branch , but still.. you can get  the following colleges with the given B.Tech branches  as per previous year cut off trends .

  • THE NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING, Mysuru (Industrial and Production , Mechanical)
  • RNS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY , Bangalore( Civil, Mechanical)
  • JSS SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY,Mysuru (Polymer sc and teh, Construction tech and management )
  • DAYANAND SAGAR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY,Bangalore (Medical electronics, Industrial engg)  and many more

Well, you need to remember that every  year's cutoff of KCET depends on some following factors :

  • No of Students appeared for exam
  • Seat Matrix
  • Difficulty level  of exam

Still, for finding any other  colleges to get admission through your given rank and category , refer to this KCET college predictor link:

hope this helps !!

Best wishes !!

MSRIT ECE VS. BMSCE. CSE/ECE??? which is way more better and best to join ?????

Nitesh 20th Sep, 2021

Hi Sanjay,

I guess you doing good in this current situation.

And to answer your question, firstly both the colleges are good and they are among the top 10 colleges in Karnataka. Both the colleges have good faculty, placements, best education, hostel facilities and cultural activities etc. Coming to ECE department, according to the review BMSCE ECE department is slightly better than MSRIT ECE department. But both are equally good and there is no doubt about it. And fees in BMSCE is slightly higher than MSRIT. So, you can choose the college which is near to your place, so that it is easy for you to travel.

Nitesh 20th Sep, 2021

The cutoff trend changes every year. And we cannot predict the colleges based on the marks obtained in the COMEDK Exam. So please wait until you get your results. And to get the seat in the colleges that you have mentioned, one should have a very good ranking.

PESIT EC campus CSE vs. BMSCE ECE//EEE?????? PES University ECE. vs. BMSCE ISE/telecommunication engineering???

Moumoyee Chakraborty 17th Sep, 2021

First think of the curriculum that you wish to study, between Computer Science Engineering or Electronics and Electrical Engineering if you think of the recent trends, CSE will give you better placements. Now among the different Colleges selected by you all of them have pretty good infrastructure and we'll equipped labs and experienced faculties but considering the placement records, PES University is the better one with Median Salary Packages 4-7 LPA.

Good luck !! Know more about this University

How to apply for admission in b tech course 2021 ?

Purbayan Chatterjee 16th Sep, 2021

Hi Sarika,

The basic eligibility requirement for admissions to any B.Tech program is:

  • Candidates must have passed the class 12 exam from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects.
  • They must also have secured minimum aggregate marks of 60% in the above subjects combined.
  • They also need to give college specific entrance exams based on whose merit marks, admission is given.

These entrance exams are numerous. Some of the most popular exams are:

  • JEE Mains (accepted by almost all the colleges including NITs, IIITs, etc)
  • JEE Advanced (used for admission in IITs)
  • State based exams like WBJEE, COMEDK, etc
  • Private college exams like BITSAT, SRMJEEE, VITEEE, etc.

There are many more exams and for a detailed knowledge on the same, visit: https://www.careers360.com/courses/b-tech-bachelor-of-technology

Only RV,MS Ramaiah and BMS college of engineering are better than VIT Vellore CSE in category 3 To what extent is this true and is there any other COMEDK college better than VIT Vellore CSE in terms of placements?

Abhishek Roy 1st Sep, 2021

Yes, RVCE, BMSCE and MSRIT must be preferred over VIT Vellore CSE, if you have a choice. Firstly, the Colleges in Bangalore have a huge locational advantage being located near IT and Technology Hubs of Karnataka as well as Top Research Destinations like IISc Bangalore and IIIT Bangalore. This provides huge scope and impetus to training and placements. Secondly, Taking CSE in Category 3 at VIT is really very expensive in terms of tuition fee, even if you get ISE, IT, ECE or CSE, at Either of the Top Engineering Colleges in Bangalore, thats preferred besides they having small sized batches, good infrastructure and strong placements.
