Hey Aspirant,
Actually BNYS doctors doesn't have any kind of prescription rights on allopathic system of medicine.
BNYS is bachelor in naturopathy and yogic science. So the type of medicine these doctors give are related to body and yoga and how yoga can cure the body.
All the Best!!!
Hello Pragya,
It all depends on what you want to learn and become.
BAMS is related to Ayurveda - the mother of all medical system where you learn only about diseases and treatments.
Nowadays, the scope of Ayurvedic is overlapping to the other medical system not only in India but also in the world.
Whereas, BNYS is an undergraduate program in Indian Alternative Medicines which covers the study of both Naturopathy Medicine and Therapeutic Yoga.
If we compare both then I would say that BAMS is much wider in scope, career and future job opportunities due to the increasing demand for ayurveda these days.
Hope it helps.
Good Luck!
Hello Aspirant,
BAMS has much better demand, scope and salary compared to BNYS. This is because ayurvedic medicine or healing has always been and will continue to be chosen as the best alternative for allopathic medicine, and it is very effective too. Ayuveda is ancient Indian medicine system, but the fact is more than India , it has had a major demand in other countries. In India , you can get jobs in government sectors and private sector as well and after gaining enough experience you can start your own consultation. Naturopathy also has scope but to become an established practitioner it may take time and patience. However, you should also consider your personal interest while making the final decision. Also note that Ayurveda may be a little tough to learn because its main requirement is the knowledge in Sanskrit language.
