Ayurvedic, Unani, Siiddha, homoeopathic, yoga, and naturopathy courses are now included in AYUSH curricula. Since BNYS stands for Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Science, the Ayush Department uses NEET results to determine admittance. So, in order to get admitted to the BNYS course, NEET is necessary.

NEET exam is required to get admission in BNYS in some of the colleges in Karnataka .
Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences (B.N.Y.S.) is a full-time five and half year full-time course.
Here are the list of few colleges with eligibility criteria to get admission in BNYS in Karnataka :
Eligibility : A candidate must have passed in any Bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration from any recognized university.
Eligibility : The Candidate Should have Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology with a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized Board.
Eligibility : Minimum 45% aggregate in 10+2 (or equivalent educational board) in the Science stream with Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biology subjects from a recognized University
Required Exam : NEET
Eligibility :
A Candidate should have Passed in 10+2 From the Recognized Board shall be eligible for the course.

The eligibility criteria for BNYS ( Bachelors of Naturopathy & Yoga sciences the candidate must have passed class xii with Minimum 50% ( general category ) and 40% for SC /ST marks in PCB subjects.
Kcet is entrance test for bnys course for karnataka students. In other states admission to bnys course is given on the basis of common entrance test. Neet is not mandatory for admission to the course.
Students can practice as Ayurvedic doctors after completing the course. Bnys doctors can not perform surgeries but they can treat patients on their own methods.
