board exam
Tanima, you haven't mentioned which class are you studying right now and whether you have scored 90% in your 10th or 12th Boards. This is important because to become a Doctor in India, you should appear for NEET exam. NEET is the entrance examination for admission to MBBS,BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. And so to be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th.
hello aspirant!
for sure you can go to the path, sharing my personal experience where my own best friend had 69% in her academics of 12th, she went to the neet examinations with full worry that to see either she will get it or not.., although she is little weak in IPE but had a very strong basement in choice questions like neet..., with good practice and confidence she attempted the examination and got qualified in it..,
so dear, don't hestitate or decrease yourself and go forward with all confidence.
Hi Akash
As you have 98 got marks in keam 2020. It is very low marks to secure a good rank. Also, Physics, Chemistry and Maths marks of 12th class are considered while calculating the rank.
Also, Institute will prepare the rank list by calculating the average marks secured in KEAM entrance test and in class 12 in the ratio of 50:50 ,which means that equal weight age will be given to both the score. So, as per your marks ypur rank would be lie in between 23000 - 25000.
Chandru, since the passing percentage of JEE Mains 2020 is 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) and only the candidates who passed JEE Mains 2020 is eligible for admission in IIFPT Thanjavur, there is a less chance of eligibility of merit seat in IIFPT Thanjavur.
