I got 88.2 percentile in jee mains and 92 percentage in board exams would I get seat in sastra University or any other college

Soumili Majumdar 17th Jun, 2020
Hello there,
According to the rank formula, [100-88.2*869010/100], your All India Rank is 102543 approximately. Now, the cut-off rank changes every year depending on the difficulty of the paper, and the number of candidates appearing for it.

With this rank, you have fair chances of getting a seat in SASTRA University, through any of the two streams of admission. CSE will be tough, but you may get the less demanding branches. You should give it a try.

You can also apply to other colleges. There are many good colleges offering your desired branch with 1lakh rank.

You can use our college predictor to predict the best college for you:

shivam raj 9th May, 2020

Hello Aspirant!

Board's marks doesn't affect the jee rank or percentile, however you need to score a certain minimum amount of marks to be eligible to get admission into IITs or NITs.

The criteria is :

the students must have secured a minimum of 75% of marks in their class 12th board exams (65% for reserved category candidates) or should be within the top 20 percentile of their respective Board Examinations

i am a 12th pcm cbse student and appeared for my board exams this year . can i take pcb from nios and would i be able to give neet next year in 2021?

Ankit Dahiya Student Expert 6th May, 2020
Hello
Yes, you are eligibile for doing class XII again through NIOS in PCB stream.
However, you can not appear for NEET 2020 through it, because your class XII would be completed in 2021 through NIOS.
So, yes, you can appear in NEET examination from 2021 onwards.

However, It is not recommended to reappear for class XII through NIOS beacause it won't provide you with any huge advantage, and in the meantime you complete  your class XII(1 year) you can not take admission to any colleges.
It is better to cboose a course which suits your interests through PCM stream itself.

Good luck

There is only College under Delhi University, Hansraj which provides B.Sc Anthropology course in their curriculum. Other than this you have few options like , Amity University, Noida , Indira Gandhi National Open University - [IGNOU], New Delhi.

If you consider last year cutoffs then the closing cutoffs for Hansraj was around 93.5 % in Round 1 for General category.

All the best!!
