Yes after 12th board you can drop a year and prepare for JEE main exam. You will be eligible to give JEE main and Advanced with out any problem. Candidates should have passed class 12 or qualifying the exam in 2010 or 2021 are eligible to give JEE main..

Once the fees is submitted you cannot change or edit anything in the form. If you wrote your passing year as 2020 instead of 2021 that makes a gap for which you are supposed to submit a gap affidavit/certificate. You could have done a new registration by paying fees

It depends on the Board whether it is CBSE,ICSE or state board or if its autonomous.
Most of the junior colleges in Maharashtra follow state board unless and until specified otherwise.

There is no specified syllabus for NTSE exam but Stage1 will include the questions from the syllabus of your education board (for you i.e. WB board). Due to pandemic many boards have reduced the Class 10th syllabus this year. So, Stage 1 exam of NTSE will exclude
