see it should not be a good option to change from cbse, since cbse is centralized board many competitive exams like jee main, icar, neet syllabus is closely related and matches with cbse 12th standard syllabus, so just your coaching class mates are from different board you should not

No, the gap between 10th and 12th doesn't affects your JEE eligibility. And also there is no age restriction in JEE so you can appear in the exam. You can give JEE Main a total of 6 times in 3 consecutive years while you can give JEE Advanced

To qualify for JEE Mains, there is no minimum aggregate criteria. But if you want to join NITs, IIITs or CFTIs then you should score a minimum aggregate of 75% only in your 12th. 11th marks aren't considered. And then to appear for JEE Advanced which is the gateway for
