I am BCB cast and I got 94 percentail in jee main 2020 in January.can I get a NIT seat?

Ayush Anand 20th May, 2020

Dear Aspirant ,

You have only mentioned you belong to economically backward castes but you have not mentioned your category but let me tell you in detail :-

  1. If you belong to General - EWS  or OBC - NCL then you don't have chance in any NIT . You may have chance in NIT Srinagar , Manipur , Mizoram or Sikkim only in spot round with lower branch options but still the propability is low .
  2. If you belong to SC or ST you have fair chances to get NITs like  NIT Patna , Jamshedpur , Una and chances in top NITs like NIT Tirichy , Rourkela , Warangal with lower branch in spot round.
  3. PWD category has chance in all NIT with this percentile .

can I get admission under lucknow university in ba economic honours program, I am from jharkhand jamshedpur and pass ISC board with 75% marks

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 29th Jun, 2020

Ved, according to the official website, BA Economics Hons has 60 seat intake every year. This is for both Candidates who have UP Domicile and who belong to other States as well. Now to be eligible for BA Economics Hons for University of Lucknow, you should have completed your Intermediate or Equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 60%. It is 60% for General Category and OBC and it is 55% for SC/ST. This aggregate is based on the total  marks of all subjects. You can take admission to BA Economics Honours Programme even if you belong to Jharkhand and do not hold the domicile of UP. SC/ST/OBC Candidates of other States other than UP cannot claim reservation and they will be treated as General. So. if you belong to SC/ST/OBC you can apply for this programme but you will be treated as General Category Candidate. In the faculties of Law, Arts , Commerce, Science and Fine Arts, admission to UG programmes is through merit scored in the entrance exam. With 75% in your Intermediate or equivalent exam, even if you belong to Jharkhand, you are eligible for applying for the entrance exam and then taking admission in the University of Lucknow. what should be our main priority to exam jee or board

S. Saha Student Expert 20th May, 2020
When you are preparing for Boards, you are also preparing for Jee Main. The syllabus is same. So preparation for your boards will also help you in cracking Jee. Once you are done with the boards syllabus, you can move on to prepare for Jee. Now if you are set on an engineering career with a stream of choice, JEEmatters much more. But you can't ignore Boards. For admission to NITs, IITs etc you need a good percentage.

i got 68.7% in jee and 64.6% in hs (seba board).... will i get a seat in nehu....im obc ncl

Sonali Sahu Student Expert 29th Jun, 2020

Hello,

Eligibility criteria for  NEHU is candidate must have secured 45% minimum aggregate in PCM in 12th from a recognized board.

You have satisfied the eligibility criteria. Admission is done on the basis of selection criteria i.e. jee mains rank cutoff.  Your general category rank will be very high which may or may not come in cutoff range.

There are possibility through reservation category so it will help you open to more college options. If you  apply for colleges in your residential state then you can also apply for home state quota which will help you in some factor as 75-80% of seats are reserved for home state quota.

Hope it helps!

Hi

It doesn't matter how many attempts you have taken to qualify your class 12th board examination, you are still eligible for neet and taking admission in a medical /dental College after qualifying neet provided you must have passed your 12th with at least a minimum of 50% marks taken together in PCB in your  if you belong to general category ; while it's only 40% aggregate in pcb for obc, sc and st categories . You should have also passed English in your 12th examination

How to make myself eligible to give meet exam as I am a student of intermediate MPC stream of board of intermediate Andhra Prad

Pankhuri Kumari 20th May, 2020

Hii!

The eligibility criteria for NEET UG entrance exam states that the candidate must have passed class 12th with atleast 50% marks (for general category ) in PCB and english subject combination from a recognised Board of education.

So, Biology is an important subject for NEET. You are not eligible for the exam with only PCM combination.

Hope you understand.

Good luck!

harsh Student Expert 19th May, 2020

Hello dear

No one can stop you or resist you to take PCB in any school. They have no right to decide that what you should choose., it will be your decision and it doesn't matter that how many marks you scored in 10 . Sometime school think that the grades if the student in 10 is not good so he / she can not do well in science so they divert you or said that they will not provide science they can  give admission in bcom or arts only .

But if your parents talk to the school's principal than they will easily allowed. So don't worry even if they still not allow then you can go to other school .

But your parents should be with your decision .

So good luck

Hi there,

Firstly to give jee advance you need to clear just jee mains cut off.

Secondly your marks of 12 comes into play during counselling where your cutvof is 75% for general, since your average is 71.8 then unfortunately you can not get any IIT OR NIT.
