Hello,
As it is the first day you can take one book and a pen along with you to the college. But you have to maintain a separate notebook for each subject and write down the class notes in the later days. It will be easy and effective for you to understand and remember what you have learnt in class if you write class notes every day. You can revise what you have learnt, this way you won't feel burdened when you have to study for the internal and external exams.
Depending upon the course curriculun of your college, the book list will be provided from the college itself. You can contact your library incharge regarding the same or respective faculties.
