I have given final year graduation exam of bsc (zoo, chem, botany)and simultaneously preparing for neet 2021 do I have to make an affidavit for it? is it required while filling the application form of neet 2021 Do NTA require Scanned copy of it

Subhrajit Mukherjee 1st Aug, 2021

As you will qualify the BSc examination with Biology and Chemistry as subjects then you have to use the NEET 06 code.

The documents required for NEET:

For phase 1:

  • Passport and postcard size photograph,
  • Left-hand thumb impression,
  • Signature
  • Self-declaration certificate for J&K aspirants.

For Phase 2:

  • Category certificate,
  • PwBD certificate,
  • Class 10 certificate
  • Citizenship certificate.

So you don't need the affidavit during the form fill up. But during admission if its required by the college then have to but in general any such affidavit related information are available.

manasa.bodreddy 9th Sep, 2021

Hello dear

According to the eligibility criteria of BHU PET for applied microbiology you must need any 2 of the subjects- botany , zoology ,biotechnology, microbiology, chemistry, industrial microbiology, life sciences, environmental sciences with minimum 50% Mark's in aggregate in your degree

So as such you had zoology for 3 years and if u have minimum  50% you can choose this and in botany also if u had secured 50% then you can choose this as 2nd subject and then apply for it .

Hope its helpful

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 31st Jul, 2021

hi,

see I understand you are in great dilemma , however you have already studies bachelors, complete b.ed and masters course. now see the government  examinations vacancy differs every year and there is hard to predict for each year how many vacancy and streams would allow.

now coming to b.sc zoology, syllabus includes

  • Ecology.
  • Microbiology.
  • Biochemistry and Cellular basis of life.
  • Evolution and Genetics.
  • Cell and Molecular Biology.
  • Wildlife Forensics.
  • Microbial Diversity.
  • Biosphere.

so there is chemistry course includes in zoology syllabus but botany may not available as per course structure of most of the university. now if the additional course available in the college you may take botany as additional while studying b.sc zoology.

hope it would help.

I am a final year graduation student (zoology, chemistry and botany) and preparing for neet 2021 as well.which subject code should I choose? I dont have original first year admit card of graduation what to do at the time of document verification?

Anurag Khanna 29th Jul, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

As you don't have PCB combination in your graduation so your highest qualification with PCB remains as 10+2 so you have to use code 02 in NEET 2021 Application form.

You can get the briefing of all NEET Qualification codes used for graduate candidates :-

-->> Code 02 - If your highest qualification with PCB is 10+2 whether you have enrolled in any graduation program or you are a dropper you will have to use code 02

-->> Code 03 - if you have passed your Pre-Examination degree in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as a compulsory subject which includes practical as well.

-->> Code 04 - If you have completed pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English after passing either the Higher Secondary examination or Pre-university/Intermediate or equivalent exam with practical included in it.

-->> Code 05 - This code is used by those candidates which have passed their first year of B.Sc with PCB combination.

-->> Code 06 - If you have completed B.Sc. with not less than two subjects which includes Biology/Biotechnology, Physics and Chemistry.

Khushi Goyal 26th Jul, 2021

Dear Student,

You have to use Code 2 for neet 2021.

Because you can use Code 5 only if you have all the three subjects of physics, chemistry and biology in BSc. otherwise code 2.

As per Code 5 for NEET qualifying criteria 2021:

i am done my bsc (hons) botany from amu,may i elligible for msc chemistry

medsra159 22nd Jul, 2021

Dear leaner,

Actually yes,but they mostly prefer students with bsc chemistry , which probably you will concentrate on botany and related studies you don't get a chance to grab the msc in chemistry ,and don't have any kind of  practical work in chemistry ,which makes less eligible

Eligibility to obtain msc in chemistry one must complete /graduate degree in chemistry or allied chemistry with 50% or more secured

Most likely to join in chemistry field one must have pcm at 12th ,as most of bsc botany students are with pcb .

All the best.
