If one has zoology , chemistry and botany in b.sc. degree. Then he do his MSc in chemistry. Does he is eligible for Gate exam after that?

Hello,

GATE - Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an examination which is conducted for Master of Engineering (ME), Masters in Technology (MTech) and direct PhD admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other institutes/universities across India

  • As per new eligibility criteria if you are in the third year of your undergraduation then you are eligible to appear for GATE 2021.
  • This provides an additional opportunity to you to improve their performance in GATE.
  • Also, 2 new subjects have been introduced this year. From this year you can sit for 2 papers from the given set of combinations.
  • However, some of the branches may not get the second paper option.
  • Two new subjects – Environmental Science and Engineering (ES) and Humanities and Social Science (XH). The total number of subjects in GATE 2022 has increased to 27.


All test papers of GATE 2022 will be entirely objective type. Pattern of questions may include

(i) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ),

(ii) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)

(iii) Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.

Anyone who has successfully completed 10+2+2 or 10+3+1 and currently studying in 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program OR has already graduated in any government approved degree program in Engineering / Technology,Architecture, Science, Commerce ,Arts is eligible to apply .

Can a Bsc botany graduate get admission for MSc Food And Nutrition at IGNOU?

Hello,

I am mentioning the basic eligibility criteria to pursue M.Sc Food and Nutrition from IGNOU (Indra Gandhi National open University)-


1. B.Sc Home Science with specialization in food and Nutrition, Dietetics, and Clinical Nutrition OR-

2. PG Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition or its equivalent OR-

3. Graduate (B.Sc. Hons.) or equivalent (MBBS, BHS etc) from any of the following backgrounds- Home Science/ Food Science and Technology, Zoology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical along with the DNHE or CNCC or CFN offered by IGNOU, (Simultaneous admission for CFN/CNCC also permitted).


The course fee is almost INR 35000-40000.

If you don't fulfill the above eligibile criterias then you can go for any other UNIVERSITY. But I think you fulfills the eligibility criteria.

How is the exam pattern for Msc zoology & Msc Botany?

Hi Aspirant,

Generally most of the college covers the same question pattern in Msc syllabus and coverage.MSc exam typically have questions ranging from 60 to 150 . Generally, 1-3 marks are awarded for each correct answer and 0.5-1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.It is very musch different from the entrance exam questions where questions are of MCQ type.

The eligibility criteria for MSC in polymer chemistry states that the candidate must have completed graduation in any relevant subject such as chemistry, mathematics, physics, etc., with minimum 50% marks from a recognised university. However the eligibility criteria may change slightly for different colleges and universities. So, you must check accordingly before applying.

How to get admission in Msc.Marine biology after Bsc Botany

  • The course is open for students who have completed their degree course in Biology/zoology/life sciences from a recognize university with 50% marks in aggregate.
  • You should have strong knowledge about biological science and have an interest in learning about marine life.
  • Most marine biologists do their jobs because they loike the work. It is a benefit in itself, even though compared to some other jobs, they don't make a lot of money, and the work is not always steady.
  • You will need to be good at science and biology to complete the education necessary to become a marine biologist.
  • The institutes in India offering M.Sc Marine Biology degree programme conducts its own entrance exam for admission.
  • Fee structure of the M.Sc Marine Biology course varies institute-wise. The average fees are Rs 50,000 per year.

Hey,

Punjab University is among the good university of India offering courses to students in different fields and background. It also offers a two year MASTER'S IN BOTANY program to students interested in it and meeting the eligibility criteria.

The total intake for the course is 29 and students needs to have at least 50%in their BSC degree to be considered for admission.
