If you have Chemistry for all 3 years and if you want to give IIT JAM for chemistry then you can apply for this exam. Chemistry is the only subject required if you want to give JAM for chemistry.

It totally depends on your interest. Both the fields are valuable in terms of future prospects.

But you can do Bsc in any of these subjects and after that for Msc you can change your stream into Microbiology, Biotechnology or any other field available in the college.
