Is qualified neet compulsory for bpt admission?

SHUBHANGI SINHA 15th Jul, 2025

Hello,

BPT is typically regarded as a paramedical or allied health science course, and it's admissions procedure is distinct from NEET UG, even though Neet is required for MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS and certain other medical programs.

Without Neet, most of the Government and private colleges offer BPT admission based on 12th PCB merit marks or conductor separate entrance exams.

Is qualified neet compulsory for bpt admission?

lisa 19th May, 2025

No, Neet exam is not mandatory for BPT course.

The colleges and universities admit students based on merit in their Class 12 board exams or through their own entrance exams. However, some states or institutions may have their own entrance tests, like the MHT CET in Maharashtra.

A fee of 33,000 for a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course can vary depending on the institute and how they structure their payments.

To be sure, you must check the official fee structure on the college’s website or call the admission office. They will confirm if 33,000 is per semester, per year, or includes additional charges like lab, exam, or hostel fees.

i got 89 in the MET test for ug allied helath sciences - BPT (physiotherapy) will i get in?

Niharika Patibandla 17th May, 2025

Hey there! An MET score of 89 for allied sciences - BPT (physiotherapy) puts you in a moderate possibility range. But your chances depend upon the no. Of applicants, difficulty of the exam, seat availability and category ( OC, BC, etc). In previous years, BPT programs at Manipal University typically had higher cutoffs often around 100-110 for general category seats. Your chances may be lower in the first round,  but you could still get in during later rounds.  All the best!

I would like to know the fees for BPT

Sajal Trivedi 17th May, 2025

Hello aspirant,

The BPT course is a four-year undergraduate physiotherapy program.  Exercises, manual therapy, and electro-physical therapeutic applications are all covered in the course curriculum.  Those who choose to pursue a career in this sector can enroll in a bachelor's program in physiotherapy, which teaches them how to treat a range of illnesses and disabilities in the elderly and those who have problems moving around.
The BPT course costs between INR 80,000 to INR 5,00,000 per year.  Comparatively speaking, government colleges are less expensive than private ones.

why not bpt ? bpt is a most demanding course

kumardurgesh1802 14th May, 2025

Hello there,

Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) is indeed a highly in-demand course, particularly for those interested in healthcare and rehabilitation fields. However, Gautam Buddha University (GBU) does not currently offer a BPT program.

Reasons for Not Offering BPT:

  1. Course Specialization : GBU focuses more on engineering, technology, and management courses. Their University School of Medical and Allied Sciences (USMAS) offers courses like B.Sc. Nursing , M.Sc. Nursing , and other allied health science programs, but BPT is not listed among the offerings.

  2. Availability of Alternatives : There are other universities and colleges in India that specialize in BPT courses, which might provide better infrastructure and focus specifically on physiotherapy education.

    Popular Institutions Offering BPT:

  • Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi

  • Manipal University, Karnataka

  • All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi

  • Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore

If you're interested in pursuing a career in physiotherapy , it would be advisable to look into universities that specialize in health sciences and medical courses .

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, feel free to share your questions with us, and we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.
