It's always better to go for vocational courses as they comprises of sone industrial based syllabus which is not seen in traditional courses.

The rank with 61 percentile is expected to be in between 398970 - 448500. The cut off for admission in to NIT, Agartala in round 6 of JoSAA counselling was as follows foe general category (home state) for the preferred branches
Comparing the previous year cut off and the expected rank you do not have chances of getting seat in NIT, Agartala. You need to score minimum 85 percentile or above to get seat in NIT, Agartala in the preferred course. However, the cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

As per the Institute career development and Placement council of IISER BHOPAL, no data are found regarding the BS placements. But it stated that for BS-MS integrated courses of all the subject 87% students got placed.
Now if you ask my personal opinion I would recommend you to go for BS-MS course in IISER if you are getting because in Science and Social Sciences getting a job without MS is really hard.
