According to previous years cutoff it seems to be difficult to get a seat in government colleges, but its possible to get a seat in private colleges. Since your branch is CSE, your laptop becomes important part in your College. I suggest you to buy a Laptop that has 8 GB of RAM. If you buy Laptop with less RAM then it might trouble you because student have to install Virtual box and also setup multiple software so having 8 GB RAM would be good.
