I am interested in neuroscience and technology. What are the best career options for me and how do I pursue them after 12th In India ? Kindly elaborate.

Jyoti Eyasmin 22nd Aug, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

Hope you’re doing well.
To become a neuroscientist, you can choose from a variety of career routes. However, be sure to have a solid Plan B in place in case you decide that becoming a neuroscientist isn't what you really want to do.

  1. Graduate study in neuropsychology or cognitive psychology after a BA/BS in psychology, neuroscience, or cognitive science
  2. BS Bioinformatics graduate programme after computer science and biology majors
  3. BS Graduate study in biostatistics after majoring in math and statistics
  4. Biology BS followed by neuroscience graduate school
  5. Graduate study in biomedical engineering after a BS in electrical engineering
  6. Any of the aforementioned undergraduate majors followed by a residency in neurology

I would advise choosing a math, computer science, or electrical engineering degree with a double major (or minor) in either biology or psychology as a supplement. Undergraduate degrees in biology and psychology are largely useless, and they don't offer a solid backup plan in case you don't get accepted to graduate school.

The most crucial piece of advise is to get your study going as soon as possible! The most crucial criterion for admission to graduate schools is whether or not you have a strong track record of producing quality research!

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

career options in agriculture?

Sayan 13th Jul, 2022

Hello Akshat,

Numerous alternatives exist for what you may do with your land. You may construct a polyhouse with all the necessary equipment and cultivate unusual crops there. Even though they have a longer gestation period than cereals, plantation crops can nevertheless yield significant income for you. However, in order to get the most profit, you must first have a clear understanding of the type of land you have and the best crop to cultivate there. You may conduct market research on products that interest you and compare their costs all year long.

Another options :-

The majority of Indian agriculture is subsistence farming. Small farms are prevalent. Commercial agriculture or corporate farming is still relatively unknown in the nation. Millions of small farmers are involved in the production side. Therefore, there is less room for professions in production.

Then come marketing opportunities.

Warehouses and godowns are not equipped with enough storage space.

Farmers sell their produce at low rates to middlemen during the harvest season due to storage issues.

Private warehouses provide excellent opportunities.

A profession in agricultural marketing is conceivable.

Marketing products marketing of pesticides may have good scope in future .

The careers in India in agricuture is going to be in Agricultural Marketing .

mba in iim or ca which is better career options from r pcm Student? on the basis of salary and experience which is better??

contact.pankajdevnani 10th Jul, 2022

Hello Somya,

Chartered Accountancy & MBA from IIM, both are very good options in the field, it totally depends on your interest & domain in which you want to make your career.

Salary & Experience - MBA (IIM)

In MBA, you learn more about Sales, Marketing & Finance as well and that too relating to Management.

It provides you an opportunity to work at Big companies if you get placement from the IIM. But, remember, not all IIMs provide good placements.

An MBA from IIM may expect a salary package which ranges between 7 LPA to 50 LPA depending upon the company & your calibre.

Salary & Experience - CA (ICAI)

In CA, the work is related more with Auditing & Taxation, one may work in a Company or independently (practicing CA).

A Chartered Accountant may earn between 3 LPA to 40 LPA and even more depending upon the company & his calibre.

There are some CAs who couldn't even earn 2.5 LPA and some are those who earn more than 70 LPA.

Moreover, one may plan to pursue MBA after CA because Top IIMs give weightage to diversity and it is easier for CAs to make it into those colleges.

All the best!

career options other than medical..full detail

Sayan 16th Aug, 2022

Hello,

There are other institutions that focus on basic research, like CECRI, where you can use your understanding of the basic sciences to create patents and other things. You must understand, of course, that pure science produces discoveries and inventions that engineering and technology may exploit.

The Science Stream also offers education in addition to research.

Finally, the nation offers a wide variety of non-engineering, non-medical occupations, including those in banks, general administration, general management, laboratories, etc.

Mohammad 1st Jul, 2022

Hey aspirant,

I belive you know the basics of accounting. Now you can focus on getting a degree because its an safer side for you it just my prime opinion. If not you need to study for CA you should take time to  prepare for the CA exams.First you need to get a  coach for studying CA.

Next you should study deeply about accounting.so think wisely and decide whether to go with CA or pursuing a degree.

If you think you are ready to go you can go with june 2023 window.

All the best aspirant
