If you are giving your exam through NIOS, then you will have to opt for a different code during application. Your qualification code would be 02. You will have to mention your board as NIOS. After doing so, you will probably be not asked to produce leaving certificate. However, if you receive a certificate from NIOS after qualifying the exam, then you will have to produce it during the time of admission which will serve as a proof that you had answered through NIOS.

To become a Forest Officer, a candidate needs to have qualified bachelor’s degree in Forestry or Agriculture or Horticulture or Environmental Science or Zoology or Botany or any other related subject from a recognised university or institution. Candidates having higher qualification in Forestry are given preference in selection.
There are certain physical standards have also been laid down for the post of Forest Officer, for example – Height 163 CM for Male (150 CM for female candidates), Chest 84 CM (minimum expansion 5 CM), etc.
To become a Forest Officer, a candidate’s age should be between 18 years to 40 years. However, the upper age limit for candidates having some work experience could be higher. While, candidates from reserved categories are given relaxation in upper age limit according to the rules laid down by the government.
Selection process:-
The selection for Forest Officer is done on the basis of performance in educational records, written exam and personal interview. Written exam consists the questions related to the compulsory subjects (General Knowledge, General English) and optional subjects, for example – Agriculture, Chemistry, Engineering, Forestry, Horticulture, Physics, Veterinary Science, Botany, Computer Application Science, Environmental Science, Geology, Mathematics, Statistics, Zoology, etc.
