To be eligible to take the CBSE Class 10th board exam, a candidate must have reached the age of 14 by December 31st of the examination year. There is no maximum age limit for appearing in the CBSE Class 10th board exam.

So yes your son is eligible for cbse registration in 2023-24.

Aazs you mentioned that your JEE attempts are over and you are thinking to give your 12th again so let me tell you that if you are planning to do so. Then kindly aim for IIT because if you are not able to crack even NIT then you can get into some serious trouble as maximum colleges in which companies will come will not allow such drop years in your academic curriculum.

See first of all I would like to tell that the boards ICSE or CBSE , it doesn't really matter if the student really wants to clear the examination of jee he will definitely do it.

It's a myth the CBSE board produces more IITIANS/NITIANS . The curriculum in the icse board is also now following ncert books. So , the preparation should be steady and focus on your coaching teachers whatever they are teaching you

You can give 12th boards from cbse board or any recognised board whatever you want but the thing it would be very lengthy and tiring process and in addition to this if by chance you are not able to crack a NIT also then it would be difficult for you in placements.

The other eligibilities of jee mains are :-

• Candidates should secure a minimum of 75 percentage in their class 12th.
• Candidates should opt for physics chemistry and mathematics as mandatory subjects in their class 12th.
