Hello Aspirant! Firstly, congratulations for your result. With 89 percentile in your JEE Mains you can't get CSE in Heritage College but you have chances of getting civil or mechanical if seats are left and it also depends on cutoff this year. So you nearly have chances of getting a lower branch but not CSE. All the Best!
Hello Sagnik. You mentioned you are from general category and your JEE Main percentile is 89.01. Based on your percentile your rank may lie within the range of 112428 - 126385. Its better you mention your exact CRL-AIR in the comment box below so that I can give you an exact answer.
Nevertheless, for the sake of answering your question, I have provided the 2019 JEE Main Cutoff Rank prescribed for admission to various streams at Institute of Engineering and Technology for Home State candidates :
Your 10th and 12th board exam results are good, so you need not to worry about that. But, if you have really secured a rank within the range 112428 - 126385 then you have less chance to get admission to any stream at IEM, Kolkata.
If you have attempted WBJEE 2021 and you think your WBJEE result is better than that of JEE Main then feel free to share those details with us. We will analysis the data and tell you whether you have any chance to grab a seat based on your WBJEE result.
To know more about IEM eligibility criteria, admission procedures, cutoff trends etc., consider visiting this page:

Now let me go through your question
CBSE Class 10 Improvement form 2021
Form dates is not relased yet till now but it will release as soon as possible expected to be 16 august 2021
If you want to know more about it check out the link given in below https://www.google.com/amp/s/news.careers360.com/cbse-hold-class-12-compartment-and-improvement-exam-2021-from-august-16/amp
Hi Sagnik,
Congratulations on your score. Well, judging from your percentile, your rank tends to be somewhere between 85657-115045. Hence, analyzing from previous years' cutoffs as well as keeping your rank in mind, it will be somewhat tough for you to get a seat in Metallurgical or Aerospace Engineering discipline at IIEST (IIEST, Shibpur does not have Chemical Engineering). However, do not be discouraged in the first-go and do appear for the counselling, nobody knows what miracle awaits you. Please find attached the previous years' cutoffs for all disciplines in IIEST here:
https://www.careers360.com/university/indian-institute-of-engineering-science-and-technology-shibpur/cut-off
Also, coming to the scores of your boards- you do meet all criteria for eligibility. To get into IIEST, an aggregate of 80% in PCM and overall aggregate of 75% in 12th is required, both of which you satisfy. Hope that helped you. Best of luck :)
Dear student,
If you want to take admission in any government college then you need to give the entrance exam at first then only you will be eligible to take admission in government college and admission process will start soon once the entrance exam ends, still you can give the JEE mains last attempt then you will be able to grab any government college.
And if you are thinking to take admission in private college the you can take directly as most of the seats are already filled so you need to be very quick, do it as soon as possible otherwise you will end up by getting a low category college.
Good Luck :)
Dear Aspirant,
No, and never think this way. Both are separate boards. May be most of the syllabus is same but there can be minor changes. If you are going to give UP Board then you should check it's own syllabus and don't go after cbse. I am providing you a link which contains UP Board's class 12th syllabus.

Hope this Helps!
