Your son can get direct admission in 6th standard Sainik School. But to get admitted in 7th standard has to again set in 7th standard CBSE exam. If qualifiers and name comes in the final list then only we will get admitted in 7th standard in the Sainik School. Why

Yes, you can appear for POLYCET as CBSE is recognized as an equivalent to SSC and you must pass all the subjects including MAths, Physics and Chemistry with a minimum of 35% marks in each subject.

CBSE does provide some grace marks to students if they are failing by 2 or 3 marks and it is not mentioned on the student's mark sheet. Although, there is no such policy of minimum or maximum grace marks allocation.

First of all one need to score 75% to get admission in IITs. So if you can get your marksheet before taking admission in the IITs then yes you can get admission. Unless you need to wait for a year.
