CIPET is quite a well known University for the course you mentioned. It is not too costly, the entrance exam can be cracked by average or mediocre students (it is not too difficult) and they also have good campus placement. Even if all the students don't get placed, 60-70% of them do. They charge a yearly fee of rupees 77,800 (which is quite reasonable when it comes to engineering colleges)

The admission to CIPET will be strictly done through their entrance examination CIPET JEE 2019 for admission in various Diploma, Post Graduate and Post Graduate Diploma courses for the year 2019-2020. A time of 8 weeks will be given to all the candidates after the JEE to procure all the required documents which inlcude original certificates of entry qualification, date of birth, community certificate, and reservation quota certificate (if applicable).

The admission is provided on the basis of CIPET JEE . It is conducted every year by the University. The university has not provided the actual dates and details of the entrance exam till now. The tentative schedule of exam is as follows.
Application starts - April
Last date to apply - 2nd week of june
Admit card - 3rd week of june.
Exam - 4th week of june
Result - 1st week of july.

If you are seeking admission in Undergraduate courses in IIST, the qualifying examination eligibility criteria is as follows-
Candidates must have obtained atleast 75 percent aggregate marks in Class 12th Board examination (atleast 65percent for SC,ST and PD candidates).
The qualifying examination should be any of the the following:
- The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by any recognized Central/State Board, such as Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi; Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE), New Delhi, etc., recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). - Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/University. - Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy. - Vocational Higher Secondary Examination. - Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects. - Any Public School/Board/University examination in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). - General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London / Cambridge /Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. - High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. - In case the relevant qualifying examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination at an earlier level.

Your question is not clear. Have you appeared for any entrance exam to secure admission in CIPET? Or are you asking about a transfer to a different branch of CIPET?
CIPET conducts their own examination, the application of which will start by 4th week of April. Exam will be conducted during 4th week of June.

Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET) will conduct CIPET JEE 2019 in computer-based mode tentatively in 2nd week of July for admission to diploma courses offered at various campuses. The question paper of CIPET JEE 2019 exam, also known as CIPET Joint Entrance Exam, will be multiple choice based and will be of 2 hours duration. Applications form of CIPET JEE 2019 will open in online mode tentatively in the 4th week of April. CIPET JEE aspirants who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria need to fill and submit completed application before the last date, or it will be rejected. Candidates who successfully complete application process will be issued admit cards of CIPET JEE 2019 around 4th week of April, which will contain information like date and venue of the exam. The result of CIPET JEE 2019 will be declared around 4th week of July.
