It is said to have gotten a placement if you get selected for a job in a company ( like TCS, Adobe, etc.) If you have completed your diploma, then you have to appear for examination/ interview with a company or organisation to get a job. When you get a job, then only it is said that you are placed. Sometimes companies visit colleges to select students for a job. If there are companies visiting your college, then you can sit for the interview and if you are selected, then you get a placement. If no companies are visiting your college then you have to yourself apply to various different companies so that you can give interviews and get a job if selected.

Plastic engineering is a 4-year course.
The basic eligibility for the course is 10+2 from a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects. The admission process is based upon the scores of an entrance exam.
You will be needed to sit for several entrance exams, conducted on any of national, State, Institute- level. After that, you will be required to appear for one or two rounds of personal counseling held in intervals. Based on the cumulative score, qualifying candidates are granted admission in the institute.
Some of such exams are - JEE, VITEEE, MHCET, BITSAT.
