According to the latest placement sector, choosing ECE would be a better option.
ECE has a wider scope and has a numerous amount of opportunities in terms of placements.
Both are Govt organizations and good. But IICT I think offers Carpet and Textile Technology. Plastic industry is still a large one inspite of the environmental hazards and other stuff while Carpet and Textile technology are niche fields which means placements will be narrowed down to certain industries only. If you belong to open category it is difficult for you to get there but if you belong to SC/St you have decent chances of getting admission there.
