Admissions & Cut-offs for IIT Courses
During JoSAA Counselling, the IITs release round-wise and category-wise cut-offs/ranks for admissions to BTech and Dual degree programmes. After appearing for JEE Advanced, the next step is to appear for JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling. JoSAA refers to joint seat allocation for admissions to 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 23 IIITs and 23 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs).

Chandigarh University is private college it is a university and affiliated to PTU where as CGC is affiliated to PTU. So in this case cgc is better.
Cgc landarn is on better location than CU which means it has bettertransport facilities and market is also approachable. Where as CU is located at outer and nearest mall is 13 km away.
In terms of Education and placement cgc is better as it has established earlier than CU and placement program happen together for both the colleges. As CGC is older it is more reputed and is better

Chandigarh group of Colleges is one of the best private engineering college in North India. The fee structure is lower than others making it feasible for all. This college has good placements. Landran was established in 2001 with the strength of 100 students but now it houses more than 15000 students and offering 25 technical programs and professional courses through 8 colleges. CGC delivered over 118 batches and had 17,700 plus students.
According to previous year cutoff ranks and trends, students getting rank up to 8 Lakh are entitled to take admission through PTU Counseling.
So, You are also eligible for getting admitted in CGC Chandigarh.

Chandigarh Group of Colleges (CGC), Landran was established in 2001. At present, CGC offers different professional courses in the field of Engineering, Computer Applications, Business Management, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Hotel Management, Tourism, Animation, and Pharma-Chemistry.
It is important for the candidate to appear in JEE Main as to be eligible for admission in CGC, the candidate is required to attend PTU counseling based on his or her JEE Main ranks. Eligibility Criteria for B.Tech Admission: Candidates are required to have minimum 50% marks in their 10+2 or equivalent examination.

There's not any particular cutoff present for CGCs neither for jee mains nor fir boards. In general you need yo have minimum of 60% in boards in order to bevbec eligible for the admission. Moreover the college has two admission criteria one with jee mains score card and one is direct admission. So you can easily get asmiadmis in the college.
