The chandigarh group of college is not a good college for ECE or any other engineering branch because it is a private college and the placement record is very low in this college.

Most of the top companies do not want to visit in CGC and do not prefer students of CGC. The level 2, 3 companies are visited in this college and they are also paid by college.

For CGC branch it is not a good college many other good colleges are also available in Chandigarh so try them and don't waste time to taking admission in CGC.

CGC is good  engineering college in India which offers to quality of education to students , outstanding placement and no doubt, fee is Genuine.

It is located in the outskirts of Mohali and affiliate to PTU. Chandigarh is 10-15 min ride away.

CGC offers  you ample opportunities to get placed with handsome salary package.Many companies like Microsoft, IBM , Amazon and many more visit the campus in search of fresher students . As this is private institution, mainly service companies visit here .As far as placement grabbing is concerned, college provides training and practical skill veey efficiently to the students but your  skills matters a lot for placement.

According to your scenerio i would suggest you kccitm over cgc(jhanjheri).As kccitm is more older college then cgc. It is even AICTE approved which puts it on more advantage over cgc.Kccitm is located in Noida so you will have advantage to go for various industrial trainings,internships also..

Being a computer science student myself i would recemend that college plays an important role but the rest is in your hand.All of the study materials are even available online, now it depends on you how you utilize your time.
