Hi Mohak,
Both institutes are more or less same for engineering. CEG college of engineering Mohali Landran campus is 'AAA+' rated whereas Manav Rachana International University Faculty of Engineering is also "AAA+". We suggest you take admission in your nearby institute so that you can save your living expenses.
Chandigarh University is an Emerging university which has a good reputation among students. I can’t say the same for the recruiters. Its placements are average. The batch size in mechanical department was 800 when I was there. I don’t have actual data but I guess as much as 15–20 students were placed in core companies. Around 70–80 were placed in IT, KPO’s and BPO’s. They might say that they have 100 Percent placement but don’t buy it. The placement in Chandigarh university is around 20–30% Max. (I know about Mechanical Stream)
Dear student,

Dear Ramit,
There is no difference as such since all the students participate in the same placement process , but under chandigarh group of colleges there are 3 engineering colleges affiliated to punjab technical university.
These colleges have different Principals headed by director Principal.
Faculties are different. But they are swapped from time to time.
