shall i do CA directly or BCOM AND CA parallel or after completing BCOM shall i do CA or only CA and doing CA corres ?

Naziba Gazal 24th Apr, 2019

Hello Aspirant.

It totally depends how u could manage ur studies and articleship.

Option 1 : CA with BCOM

Generally those who does CA and BCOM together clear their CPT after 12th so mainly they have to manage their Ipcc studies and college.

Advantages:

  1. As subjects are similar in BCOM and Ipcc so those college lecture could help u in ur Ipcc and u may need to join coaching for every subject.
  2. The biggest advantage is of ur articleship coz only student through campus placement got articleship in big 4 without reference.

Disadvantage:

  1. It becomes very difficult for some students to manage their college and sometimes it takes several attempt to clear Ipcc.
  2. You can't do ur articleship with regular college so even if u pass Ipcc u will have to wait till completion of ur graduation.

Option 2 : CA after BCOM

Advantages:

  1. Since u have already studied the concept in your BCOM so for Ipcc you just need practice and if u have good conceptual knowledge you can manage yous studies with office.
  2. You can better enjoy your college life which never comes back.
  3. In your BCOM u would got better understanding that after BCOM whether you should do CA or any other course believe me it is the biggest advantage coz you decide better than those who choose after 12th coz after 3 years of college you would have better knowledge of courses and u would know what u love to do

Disadvantages:

  1. Generally big 4 and other good firms don't appoint students through direct entry and main reason is Ipcc exams
  2. You would enjoy ur college life but after joining CA your life could become hell for you coz you are going office and you also have to study for Ipcc and after Ipcc then it's final so life may become hell after college

I have mention only some basic points, hope it would be helpful for you.

One can do ca intermediate after b.sc.acturial science?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 15th Apr, 2019
Dear Sriram, you can study directly CA Inter after any Bachelor's degree.  If you are a non Commerce Graduate (in your case B.Sc Acturial Science is a non commerce degree) you need to score 60% in your Bachelor's degree and if you are a Commerce Graduate, you need to score a minimum aggregate of 50% in your Bachelor's degree. After your Bachelor's degree you get to study CA Intermediate as a Direct Entry. There are 8 papers in CA Intermediate that are both Subjective and Objective type. And the same pass rule applies here as well. Should score above 40 in each subject with an average aggregate of 50%. The subjects are divided into 2 groups. Group 1 has Accounting, Corporate Laws and other Laws, Cost and Management Accounting, Taxation. Group 2 has Advanced Accounting, Auditing and Assurance Enterprise Informations Systems and Strategic Management and Financial Management and Economucs for Finance. For Direct entry Commerce Graduates, it is important to have 50% aggregate in their qualifying examination and for Non Commerce Graduates, 60% aggregate is mandatory. And then there is a mandate period of Orientation period and study period. In CA Intermediate as well, the exams are conducted in May and November of every year.

Preksha Ghanathay 23rd May, 2019

Hello Harsh,
It's good to see that you wish pursue CA after B.com. After B.com the candidates are eligible for Direct Entry Scheme by ICAI. If your average marks in your B.com is 55% or more, then you are eligible to pursue Chartered Accountancy professional course under the Direct Entry Route.Accordingly, you can register for CA Intermediate course, successfully complete one month course on ICITSS, and then join article ship. After nine months of article ship, you can appear for CA Intermediate exam.

Hope this info is helpful!!!

Iram khan 13th Apr, 2019

As you have given your examination of class 12 so you are eligible to give CA Foundation exam.CA Foundation is conducted 2 times in a year that is in may and in November. The CA Foundation form will be released by ICAI in may- June and the coaching classes will probably begin from July. The coaching fee will vary from 30000-40000. For the preparation of CA Foundation it will nearly take 4 months . During this 4 month you have to be very hardworking and dedicated towards your studies as CA is a very tuff professional degree course .The exam form will be of nearly 10000-12000INR. After filling the form you will have to place order for your books which will be delivered to your doorsteps. One month before the exam you have to fill the exam form after which you will be eligible for the exam. The registration for CA Foundation is valid for 3 years .Hope this answers your question.

After completing 12th Std Which course Is better to choose for studying CA In PG.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 13th Apr, 2019
Dear Paras, if your question is how to study CA as a PG course, first things first, CA is not a Post Graduation course. It is a Professional course which can be studied at 3 different levels like CA Foundation (10+2), CA Inter (Bachelor's degree) and CA Final. So if you pursue any degree in Bachelor's you can opt in directly for CA Inter. If you are a Commerce Graduate you need to score a minimum aggregate of 50% for being eligible for Direct entry to CA Intermediate. For Non Commerce Graduates, it is 60%. So you can study any Commerce subject in your Bachelor's score 50% and be eligible for CA Inter directly.

which one would get the highest salary ca ,acca or an actuary?

Shreya_1549549812 Student Expert 13th Apr, 2019

Hello Kartik,

The salary package you will get in future depends on your performance and hardworrk not only on the exam you clear. As you should know that you will always start at the entry level in a company, with the range of pay being 3.5 to 4.5l p.a. and mostly all companies ask you to join them  when you clear any papers, so you can take advantage of that.

Hope it helps.

Thank you :)
