As you mentioned your HSC score 482 in board so you have almost clear the B.tech  cutoff for engineering. But along with the boards score you sholud have to appear either for JEE Mains or State CET examination in order to get admission in government college for chemical

       You have got a decent marks in +2 and it purely depends on your maths physics and chemistry marks. If you have good enough cut off you can get a good college. As there are only few government colleges provodipr chemical engineering, it depends on your cut off.

A you can see the students getting marks greater then 300 have increased and the seats are also increasing so this can be off set so least marks for admission in BITS for any program other than Bpharm will be 290+. It cannot decrease to 250's. So the
