If 150 students are enrolled in Chemical branch of 1 batch then according to me nearly 100 or i can say 90 will register for the placements. I know you must be curious

As you have not mentioned the Category so i mentioning for all. For General category it was around 493 GATE score and for OBC it was around 430.

For SC it was around 240 GATE score and for ST, all applicants.

I got 29 percentile in jee mains I am eligible for Chemical Engineering in NITs and also eligible for IITs

Sorry to say that 29 percent is not a good percentage.There is no chance to get a seat in any NIT or IIT with this score for any course.Please do prepare well for the April session to get a better score and try to get a score about 90 percent.
