In chemical engineering biology is important?

Akhila Nagasree 5th Jan, 2019

Hello,

Simple answer is no, chemical engg doesn’t require biology. One can happily sail through chemical engg courses without learning any biology.
It is a choice rather than a necessity. Biology is required for biochemical engineering or biotechnology, but they too don’t involve too much biology.

Hello Saksham,

It is hard to say that you can get an IIT or not, as it depends on your AIR. If you have an AIR less than 600, then there is a chance you might get into IIT.

The GATE marks that you score in that three hour exam.
