Chemical engineering is only in vit Vellore not in vit Chennai with a average placement statics the average around 4lpa it may vary according to company demand so later you may up to 7 to 10lpa.

I know you have bright future, but this is not the right time. Your rank may be somewhat arournd 375000 in crl. And in obc list it will be near 125000. So you have have almost no chance of getting NIT-R chemical engineering.

Simple answer is no, chemical engg doesn’t require biology. One can happily sail through chemical engg courses without learning any biology.It is a choice rather than a necessity. Biology is required for biochemical engineering or biotechnology, but they too don’t involve too much biology.
