sir nit Trichy civil or mechanical or chemical engineering which is better placements sir?

gupta.virat1357 8th Sep, 2022
Hello Aspirant,
According to your question I want to go one by one. Let's talk about civil engineering it's has a high scope in government jobs as everyone knows but on the other hand chemical engineering is also the growing field and offcourse with this field you are not able to apply for civil exams ( in case you want to prepare). If you ask me about Trichy or allahbad I would suggest Trichy . Trichy is slightly better in terms of overall faculty and quality of education and students. Infrastructure is also better here in certain extent and it's more research oriented.
Tech in chemical engineering. 95% of placement in the institute is from the engineering department. The highest package offered to engineer students in NIT, Tiruchirappalli, was INR 40 LPA. Overall, 90% of students are placed till now, and the placements still going on. The highest package offered is 28 LPA, the lowest package is 3.5 LPA, and the average package offered is 7.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies include Saint Gobain, ITC, Business and ITC. For the most part 50-70% of the understudies from the course get good placements . accourding to latest statistics 92.1% of all the students in the Civil Engineering Department in nit trichy have been placed in various sectors.
NIT Trichy Placements 2022: Average Package: INR 6.5 LPA & Highest Package: INR 42 LPA.
Placements are very good at NIT Trichy if you are from circuit branches like CSE, ECE and EEE. The mechanical department also gets good placements, but not very much as circuit branches. However, we have opportunities to explore and apply to many different fields. So, there's a good peer group.
So yes choose stream according to your interest or if you want a good college go for college rather than thinking about stream.

Is in todays world is ddu nadiad sfi better or ahemdabad university better for chemical engineering..

KUNAL KUMAR 1st Sep, 2022

Dear Aspirant,

Hello dear,

I think that you have to go for DDU Nadiad because it is better than SEAS Ahmedabad, especially for computer engineering. After all, their faculties are very experienced and helpful infrastructure is also good if you are thinking about placement then placement record is very good and many top companies are coming there for recruiting students and offer very high package.so, you have to go for it.

Hope This Helps.

I got 17k rank in OBC ncl. Can I get chemical engineering or electrical engineering branch through CSAB in nit Warangal?

KUNAL KUMAR 29th Aug, 2022

Dear Harsh,

Hello student,

With a rank of around 17,000 in the jobs category, it becomes difficult to secure a seat in nits under chemical engineering as the closing ranks were around 5,700 for the home state quota in nit Warangal. Yet, ranks and scores vary each year depending on various factors. However, you can also predict the colleges which you are likely to get using the below-mentioned link:

Im from Tamil Nadu, I got 81 percentile in JEE Main. My category rank is 9881 (SC category) and my all India rank is 173624. I want the list of NITs which accept this score. Also, I want to know whether I can get seat for chemical engineering in NIT Trichy through CSAB Councelling.

Sharon Rose Student Expert 27th Aug, 2022

Hello,

The seat allotment in CSAB counselling is based on All India Rank secured in JEE Main. Last year a candidate with CRL 184832 belonging to SC category secured admission in Chemical Engineering in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli  under home state quota in round 1 of CSAB counselling. Considering the previous year cut off you have good chances to get seat in National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli in Chemical Engineering. Considering the previous year cut off in JoSAA round 6 counselling here is the list of institutes in which you have chances to get seat under SC (other state/All India) category

  • National Institute of Technology Agartala: Chemistry
  • National Institute of Technology Agartala: Production Engineering
  • Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT) Kalyani, West Bengal: Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing, Kancheepuram: Smart Manufacturing
  • Indian Institute of Information Technology Manipur: Computer Science and Engineering

Cut off is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.

To check the previous year cut off use the link given below

I got 81 percentile in JEE Main. My category rank is 9881 (SC category) and my all India rank (CRL) is 173624. Since I wanted to do chemical engineering in NIT Trichy, is there any chance I could get into it with the above mentioned score? Please guide me the procedure how to apply for the same.

thakurvishesh1 27th Aug, 2022

Unfortunately there is no chance of you getting any branch in National Institute of Technology Trichy as this is one of the most competitive colleges out there. If we consider the opening and closing of the Chemical Branch in 2021, then the cut-offs are:

Opening: 1470
Closing: 2823

However, you can get admission into many good state colleges like HBTI Kanpur, KNIT Sultanpur etc.

You can also use our college predictor to see your chances in all the colleges:

Hope I have answered your question. All the best!
