Hi Mohammed, generally it takes around 4 years to complete civil engineering. It all depends on your talent and hard work to obtain a job. Generally companies visit colleges during the final year of engineering for placements and one can get job by good work. You can also try for PSU jobs also, after completing engineering by taking good score in GATE exams. Getting job all lies in the hands of you and your hard work.
Hello Ghanshyam,
In the civil engineering industry, bachelor's tend to fetch less and Renowned institutions offer higher packages. Taking master's helps you get more. Experience matters as well. This is a profession where even if you are not getting a masters degree, experience will help you earn. The average package varies from 20 to 50 k in India.
I hope this helps.
