What would be planning for preparation of SSC JE exam?

Mohammed Inamul 10th Apr, 2018

For the preparation, first know the exam pattern and syllabus and prepare as per it only. To prepare SSC-JE(Junior Engineer), one has to judge his/her command over SSC-JE syllabus/Pattern.

Make a Study Plan: You should design a study plan which will have fixed study hours and also incorporate some small breaks and other daily activities. Cracking the SSC JE Exam is not a cakewalk but who prepare with sheer dedication will have their success ensured.

Practice previous years question papers : You can solve previous years questions papers, sample papers and answer them like you are attempting the real exam in 2 hours only. If you try to finish the exam within that time only it will improve your time management during the actual exam and will certainly give you extra time to re-attempt questions.. When you are answering the questions read them properly and only answer those that you are sure about because of the negative marking(-0.25). Adapting yourself to the exam environment can help take away any fear related to the exam. Attempting mock test will reduce your nervousness during the exam.

P.s  Daily update yourself with the latest current affairs and general knowledge.

A lot of candidates fail in the test because they are not able to attempt all the questions. Do not get stuck on a single question and lose out on half the marks. Be wise with your time.

Good Luck

How to become IAS ... While studying civil engineer??? Please tell me the solution ....

Gaurav Shukla 15th May, 2018
Hello,
Any degree or graduation/post-graduation in any subject is alright. For higher education, one should always pursue the subject which one finds interesting and is comfortable with. Academic career and interest should not be compromised for an uncertain and highly competitive career in civil service.

If you find physics or chemistry really exciting, please go for that. I always feel a good science student has greater flair and ability to write precise answers in a logical and objective manner.

You can prepare. Upsc accept candidates from all background.

Cheers !!

How I become civil engineer

Bhanu Pratap 19th May, 2018

Hello Hritik,

If you are interested in becoming a civil engineer, remember one thing, it is a profession in which you have to make something for the society. It is an honourable profession. Now coming to your question; you need to have you have mastery over all the subjects that are required in this field such as Physics, Chemistry and Maths.

You also need to have to aptitude to sweat it out in the heat since most of times you will be supervising construction work in sweltering heat. If you have the stomach for hard work, then you should go for it.

As far as the courses are concerned, you can become a civil engineer through these courses. There is a diploma course, B.Tech course and an M.Tech course.

You will have to clear JEE examinations to get into top government engineering colleges. If you are interested in private colleges such as BITS Pilani or VIT, then you will have to clear BITSAT and VITEE respectively.

Some of the top engineering colleges are:

Indian Institutes of Technology, Birla Institute of Technology, Vellore Institute of Technology, Acharya Institute of Technology Bengaluru, Jadavpur University, Kolkata.

Hope this helps!
