Yes, it has a good scope in coming years. There is huge demand in India for civil engineers. In India, a freshe civil engineer can expect between Rs. 30,000 to Rs.40,000 per month depending on rank and seniority. After gaining experience, a civil engineer may receive a promotion to supervisor and can can earn Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 90,000 a month. Someone with 15-20 years’ experience can rake in upwards of Rs. 1 lakh a month
You can get into Railways through UPSC, RRB and RRC. UPSC provides class 1 officers job. RRB and RRC are for class 3 or the labor class jobs. UPSC requires a degree for IAS. Engineering degree is required for Engineering services exam.
