If you prefer good branch other than good college , then i suggest you to take computer science in HBTU kanpur. But if you prefer good college over good branch, then i suggest you to go for NIT warangal or MNIT allahabad because both of them are one
Hi, there since you have scored 71 percentile in JEE mains exam so your overall AIR most probably lie in between 300K-320K. And your SC category rank wil most probably lie under 50K. And on this rank it is somehow difficult to get into NIT but you may try it

According to this year trends with 82 percentile your rank would be around 17,500 to 20000.Sorry to say but according to previous year cutoffs and trends you can not get into civil branch in any NIT as maximum rank required to qualify according to round 7 is around

While looking at the two colleges, IIT Bhubaneshwar is the older and more well established campus than IIT Palakkad. It has better facilities and placement records. IIT Palakkad is relatively new and is currently establishing its prime.
