As you have mentioned that you have secured 400 rank in MMM Gorakhpur entrance exam. You have high chances of getting admission in the civil branch. As per last year cutoff you can get a seat in civil branch as your secured rank is under the cutoff rank.
Hey! No GATE isn't compulsary after BE in Civil Engineering. You only have to give GATE if you are interested in higher studies. Though there is no compulsion yet. AICTE has officialy announced that for now it is not at all compulsory to give GATE after doing your BE. Hope
Every engineering branch u choose have it's own advantages and disadvantages. It's not about which is better branch every engineering branch has challenging work in it.
Never mind that you didn't take computers in class 12, in engineering they will teach you from the basics.So, that doesn't mind.
