How the cut offs for civil engineering streams are so high for most of the PSUs??...do they really want 80 or 80+ marks candidates???....

80+ is the marks scaled down in GATE civil engineering as cutoff marks for PsU ubder General category.

Marks are slightly lower for OBC, Sc and ST category . 


Civil engineering and Mechanical engineering are nost sought out for core PsU and hence cuttoff is higher for their specail skillsets.

If you are not interested in engineering then you can opt for bsc from your favorite subject you can also simultaneously prepare for for bank jobs or for civil services you can also apply for clat . I would suggest you to make an aim then work according to it

If You are thinking about Placements in Civil From this college then Don't expect civil students are rarely placed from this college, The ECE Department has around 10% share of the Total Job offered So You can think of ECE , but condition for Civil is Not good,

According to the eligibility criteria for admission to M.Stat Program at ISI, Student should have B.Stat. degree of ISI, B.A./B.Sc. (Statistics), B.Math. degree of ISI, or B.A./B.Sc. (Mathematics) with Statistics as a full subject to be eligible for the M.Stat. selection test.
