If you are clearing the cut off for that specific college which you are aiming for then definitely you would be able to get mechanical branch in that college but also keep note of this cut offs depends on various factors.

Considering placement scenario JU ECE is better option than IIT Dhanbad Chemical or Civil.

you should go for JU until you do not have interest in Chemical or Civil field.
