I got 14489 in gate civil 2020 ,381 score and btech 7.3 cgpa, general category. can I get interdisciplinary branches into new iits?

It might be difficult to get into IITs with the score as IITs generally require a score of 700 and above.

You just need to be 21 years old having completed graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.You can apply for UPSC even in final year. UPSC doesn't discriminate amidst aspirants belonging to different discipline, people from different backgrounds have cracked this exam and continue to do so, eventually

1. NIT Silchar - Electronics and Communication engineering

2.  NIT Rourkela - Biotechnology

3. NIT Agartala - Mechanical engineering

There are several other colleges you might get at this rank with many branches except civil. You

why is civil considered a comparatively poor choice than other core branches

Hello,

Civil Engineering is indeed a very good branch. But some people consider this a poor choice as there are not much opportunities for Civil Graduates in India . But there are tons of opportunities in Dubai, Australia, UK etc.

If you consider last year cutoffs and closing GATE score then you can get only one NIT i.e

NIT Silchar - National Institute of Technology :- M.Tech. in Water Resources Engineering

Last 3 Year closing score:

391, 396, 402.
